Who We Are

Your Hosts

Hi there! We’re Josh and Cara, a husband-and-wife team dedicated to elevating the guest travel experience through exceptional accommodations and outstanding hospitality. Born and raised in North Carolina, we met while attending East Carolina University, where we pursued careers in nursing and science. Our professional journeys have taken us on many travels, deepening our appreciation for clean, well-maintained spaces that truly feel like a home away from home.

 

In 2020, we launched our first cabin rental, Rustic Dreamscapes, with a vision to go beyond the typical hotel stay—offering high-end furnishings, luxurious amenities, and thoughtfully curated family-friendly activities, all within a private and serene setting. Our passion for hosting has since led us to expand into other markets across Tennessee and North Carolina.

 

We genuinely value each and every guest, which is why our properties are designed with all types of travelers in mind. Your comfort and satisfaction are always our top priority, and we’d be honored to host your next unforgettable getaway!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are your check-in and check-out times?
Our standard check-in time is 4:00 PM EST, and check-out is either 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM EST, depending on the property. If you’d like an early check-in or late check-out, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request, but availability depends on our cleaning schedule. To guarantee early check-in, you have the option to add it to your stay for an additional fee at the time of booking using the provided welcome link. This allows us to schedule the necessary staff to uphold our high sanitation standards before your arrival.
Do you provide linens and towels?
Yes! We provide high-quality, clean sheets, towels, and blankets for guest use at all of our properties.
Do you allow pets?
We do allow dogs (but no cats or other pets) at all of our properties except Isle of Dreams! Up to a maximum of 2 dogs are allowed unless otherwise approved. We do not allow puppies under the age of 1 year. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog that must be paid at the time of booking.
Do your properties have cookware?
Absolutely! Each of our properties has a fully equipped kitchen, all with stainless steel appliances, pots and pans as well as all essential dishware, cookware, bakeware, and cooking utensils. We also provide some cooking essentials, including salt/pepper, cooking oils, and condiments.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is the same as the most flexible policy on VRBO. We offer this policy as a courtesy to our guests as we understand that plans can sometimes change. We provide a 100% refund up to 14 days prior to arrival, 50% refund up to 7 days prior to arrival, and no refund if cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival. We also encourage our guests to consider purchasing travel insurance to help cover unanticipated events that may lead to trip cancellation.

Our family absolutely loved our time at Cara and Josh’s place! Being that this was our first Airbnb trip, we were not very sure how everything would work out, but from the initial reservation to final check out, Cara made the process absolutely seamless and went above and beyond to communicate with us in a very timely manner! Cara and Josh’s house was beautiful and very well furnished! The house was spotless and very inviting. The neighbors were very friendly and made us feel right at home. We very much enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and having the opportunity to take walks and drive the golf cart throughout the neighborhood. Amazing property! Absolutely would stay again. The proximity to the beach coupled with the provided golf cart was perfect. My wife and I had such a relaxing time. Our 12 and 16 year old had a blast. The local area had great options for restaurants. Just a perfect location. Cara was the most responsive property owner/manager I have ever dealt with. True professional. We absolutely loved our stay at 118 NE 75th Street! The Surf Shack was amazing—brand new, super clean, and beautifully laid out. It was the perfect spot for our family, including our dog. Very kid-friendly and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need for a beach vacation. The golf cart was such a great bonus, but the short walk to the beach made it easy either way. We were especially impressed with all the extras: a Shibumi Shade, beach chairs, boogie boards, and fun games. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning kept the house nice and cool. There was plenty of parking, and we found ourselves spending most of our time relaxing around the downstairs table. Everything about the house was modern, convenient, and well-planned. You can tell the hosts thought of everything—we can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean. The kids enjoyed the upper loft area with bunk beds. There was a beach area fo the kids that was a walkable half mile or easy drive to. The trails and community fire pit are not open yet. This is a fairly new resort and there was construction going on. It is about a 40 min. drive to Pigeon Forge. I would recommend this place. Cara was a great host.
